The Centre for Foreign Languages (CFL) at RMK College of Engineering and Technology actively promotes Japanese language learning and cultural exchange to enhance students' global career opportunities. The Japanese language programme follows a structured learning pathway from N5 to N3, enabling students to acquire internationally recognized language certifications while developing cross-cultural communication skills.

The college regularly organizes Japanese language orientation programmes, guest lectures, cultural events, industry interactions, and career guidance sessions in collaboration with organizations such as JETRO, Mirai Academy, ABK-AOTS, and leading Japanese industries. Students also participate in Japanese language proficiency examinations (JLPT/NAT), Japanese cultural club activities, and placement-oriented training programmes.

These initiatives have enabled many students to secure internships and high-paying placements in Japanese companies, making RMKCET one of the institutions actively preparing engineering students for global careers in Japan through language proficiency and industry engagement.
