Product LifeCycle Management CoE

Introduction

PLM CoE is authorised training centre for Parametric Technologies Corporation (PTC) product namely, CREO. It is established in the Academic Year 2013-14. Its objective is to bridge the gap between Industry requirements & curriculum. Over one Crore Rupees has been invested for Software & Infrastructure (RMK & RMKCET). Faculty members who are trained by PTC offer training to aspiring students on various modules of Creo and Windchill PDM Link. Students are provided with 125 hrs of in-depth training and accessibility to software for a period of one year. About PLM

Front End Technologies CoE has been established in partnership with M/s VirtusaPolaris.

• 27 May 2016: One Day Faculty Development Programme on PLM conducted by Mr. Sankaranarayanan Sakthivel, Lead Consultant – PLM, WIPRO Technologies Ltd.
• 19 April 2016: Video Conferencing with PLM Expert Team of M/s Geometric Limited, Pune for discussion regarding Placement opportunities for PLM Trained Students & Faculty Internship. PLM-CoE Core team members from RMKCET and PLM-Practice Head Mr Rajendra, Mr. Nikhil Satpute – Senior Project Manager PLM, DS and their team attended the conference
• 28 Feb 2016: Video Conferencing with PLM Expert Team of KPIT, Pune for discussion regarding Placement opportunities for PLM Trained Students. PLM-CoE Core team members from RMKCET and Prof.KNS Acharya ,Vice President, Jerome Lobo, Delivery Head, Mr. Omkar and their team attended the conference
• 23 Feb 2016: Guest Lecture for PLM Students on "Applications of PLM in Industries" by Mr. Sridhar Gatpa, Principal – Education, Training & Assessment - PLM, M/s Infosys Ltd., Bangalore.
• 15 - 19 Dec 2015: 5 Days Faculty Training on Windchill by Mr. Ravi Mani, Director, Cyber Metric Services (I) Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore.
• 01 & 02 Sep 2015: 2 Days Faculty Training on Windchill by Mr. Shekar Ayarkar, PLM Practice Head, M/S Cognizant Technology Solutions through Video Conferencing from Pune, Maharashtra.
• 23 July 2015: One day Faculty training on Windchill by Smt. Renuka M Kamath at Tractor & Farm Equipments Ltd (TAFE), Sembium, Chennai.
• 21 July 2015: On-line Live Webinar on how to use Windchill PTC as a Central Source for Product Information. Mr. Loganathan attended this webinar.
